DENNIS FUNERAL DETAILS.

Tuesday 23 June at 12-40pm at south Essex Crematorium, Corbets Tey, Upminster Essex RM14 2UY. Because of Covid 19, only twenty five people can attend the funeral. The family and advisers found it very difficult selecting people other than the family, who should attend. It is no slant on anyone who has not been asked to attend. We could have filled Westminster Abbey with the amount of people who wanted to come. So friends are asked to pay their respects by standing on the park opposite Dennis' house. We will then form lines up the road Newmarket Way. Any flowers, please have them delivered to 19, Newmarket Way before 11am. on the day. Jackie said anyone wishing to make a donation, instead of flowers, can make it to www.sfh.org.uk-dennis lepine (St. Francis Hospice). Jackie also said wear a little something in claret and blue in honour of our friend. Cars will leave Dennis' at 12.10pm. Please can you make sure that you take any rubbish with you when you leave and please respect Jackie's neighbours. I would ask anyone attending, to observe social distancing, if possible can you please wear face coverings. In my time, I have been able to attend Bobby Moore's funeral, lead the march in Palermo and attend this funeral for my friend Dennis, I want people to look back, in years to come, and say II attended the send-off for Westham's greatest fan please be on the green by 11 -15am. Dennis house 8 min walk from Hornchurch station on the district line.Lets give dennis a fitting send off,and show why we are westham united.thanks to my friends for all your support.

Over the last 24 hrs Alex Sorenson and myself have had calls and texts from friends asking ,why am I not in the 25, family and very close friends who can go? The answer is, we could not get 3,000 into 25 places. You all deserve to go, but do the maths. Also, we have had friends trying to tell us a better way of doing things, We are doing our best, and have been doing that since Dennis got ill. Alex and Chas, have worked hard every day. It's easy to close the gate but the horse has bolted. Saying goodbye to Dennis will be a sad day, it's not a jolly boys outing to Margate, The toilet in Jackie's garden will be open for you to use, please don't piss on the floor or the messenger.

Asking people to take their rubbish home with them is an indication that people will be taking a drink or two. Of course it’ll be a sad day, like it is with any funeral. Most people will be seeing it as a way to celebrate his life and there’s nothing wrong with that. Being teetotal, I’ll applaud him as the hearse goes and that’s me done. That’ll be enough for me. As long as I attended, I’ll be happy with that.

I am hopeful of having the two new flags outside dennis house on 23/6. If not I will put the united we stand flag on the front of the house.Ive got a few seats for people to sit on,most are reserved now.I am hopeful we can give dennis a great goodbye,which will show westham fans have not forgotten the word respect.

I'll be there to pay my respects to Dennis,I traveled with the Hornchurch coaches a number of times and traveled with Dennis to a Chelsea away match a few years back,we're the same age group and we had a great chin wag about the old days
